The Garden is a family-friendly all-volunteer organization. We encourage you, your family, and friends to participate in enjoyable and visible community service. Join the "First Tuesday" team, 9:00-noon, on first Tuesdays through January. Contact us for other times and opportunities.

Choose an activity or task that interests you, and pledge a few hours each month to help with:  maintenance (pruning, planting, mulching), greeting visitors, special events (set-up, cashier, etc.), publicity, newsletter, correspondence, database entry, docent-led tours, school education programs, and many more.

We welcome families, community groups, and individual volunteers.

WALK-IN VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are welcome on Saturday mornings from 9:30 to noon, and some weekday mornings. Please contact us to be sure someone is available to direct you. 

PLANTING DAY VOLUNTEERS
Be notified when we have a special workday that requires many hands. Sign up at the garden or by email to be notified of our big days.

DOCENTS
Give tours to small groups and individuals as they visit the garden. Docents greet volunteers and give tours on workdays, freeing the volunteer supervisors to concentrate on technical details. Training is provided in plant identification, the garden's mission, future plans for the garden, and the concepts demonstrated in garden segments.

SPECIAL VOLUNTEERS
Expertise in various areas is needed: Graphics, publicity, fund raising, computer work, mechanical or wood working skills.
